Last month, I came home from school but it was no longer home. We’d lived there for as long as I could remember, which isn’t long for an adult I suppose, but a long time when you’re nine. I just assumed it was our house and we’d live there forever, but it wasn’t and the people who owned it wanted it back very quickly.
…There’s a film called ‘A Room with a View’ and that’s what we have. Except it isn’t ours. It belongs to the hotel we stay in now.
