The paperback has landed!

It’s here! The paperback edition of Stories for Homes 2 officially launches today. With beautiful original cover art by one of our editors, Sally Swingewood, and packed with the most stunning writing, it would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves to read. Both the paperback and Kindle editions can be found on our Amazon page.

Remember – all profits go directly to Shelter. The entire book has been produced by volunteers donating their time and talent, including our featured writers. The roster of authors in the book includes published novelists, award-winning short story writers and new authors you’re sure to hear more of in the future. We are grateful to each and every one of them.

Events page now live!

We are organising a series of events to celebrate and promote Stories for Homes 2 and raise as much money as possible for Shelter. The events kick off in conjunction with the publication of our paperback edition, and the book will be available to buy at all our events. Most events are free, with the very kind sponsorship of the venues involved. Some events will be ticketed, with all profits going to Shelter. Please check our new Events page for all details.

A huge vote of thanks must go to the entire SfH team who have been beavering away to make this possible.  The editing, proofreading and digital conversion have all been done by our fabulous volunteers, donating their considerable skills and experience to the cause. We also have stunning original art work for the cover – look out for the reveal soon!

We’ve had amazing feedback and endorsements already from readers with advance copies of the book. This is a truly remarkable collection of new writing for a very special cause.

Stories for Homes 2 now in production

We are delighted to announce that Stories for Homes Volume 2 is now in preparation. We plan to launch the e-book in September 2017 and a paperback version in November 2017. Just as with Stories for Homes 1, all profits will go directly to Shelter.

We received an amazing 256 submissions for the new anthology. The standard of submissions was incredibly high and the selection process tough. After much deliberation, 55 pieces have been selected for inclusion in the anthology. We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who submitted for their generosity in offering to donate their work for this very important cause.

With so many quality submissions, it was inevitable that some excellent writing wouldn’t make it into the anthology. We are delighted to announce that we will be publishing a further 29 stories on this website in the months leading up to the publication of the anthology, and beyond. Check back here for updates on when these stories will be available.

We will be busy at work over the next few months making this anthology the best we can – many people are donating their skills to ensure the quality of the finished anthology is impeccable.

Here are the 55 accepted stories, laid out in their running order and ready for copy edits. If you can’t wait to read them, don’t forget that Stories for Homes 1 is still available to buy in paperback and e-book here and all proceeds go to Shelter.
